Deborah Bacharach will present:
“Backyard Gardening to Save the Bay”

Most Maryland residents live within a half mile of a stream, storm drain, or river and most of those drain into the Chesapeake Bay. What we do in our yards, such as mowing, mulching,  watering, fertilizing and planting can have a direct effect on the health of the Bay and the health of our environment. Come learn about “Bay Wise” practices with Deborah Bacharach.

Deborah completed the Baltimore Co. Master Gardener training course, affiliated with the University of Maryland, and began volunteering for the “Grow It Eat It” and “Bay Wise” Committees of the Master Gardener program. She is currently the Co- Chair of the Bay Wise Committee of the BCMGs, and has worked extensively in the Bay Wise Demonstration Garden at the Ag Center on Shawan Road.

All programs will be held at the Sherwood House at Cromwell Valley Park.
