Summer at the Park

Summer Nature Camp registration will begin on January 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. via on-line registration only.   The camp dates have been announced as follows:

Wee Wanderers Nature Camp for Age 4  – Cost $115 – CLICK FOR INFO
June 17, 2109 – June 21, 2019 – 9:30 a.m. – noon
Your child will enjoy nature crafts, hikes, games and animal talks.  If your child is in diapers and not fully potty trained, a parent MUST stay during camp hours.  All other parents are welcome to stay, but not required.

Outdoor Discoverers Nature Camp for  Ages 5-7  – Cost $150 – CLICK FOR INFO

ALL SESSIONS SOLD OUT.   CURRENTLY ACCEPTING WAIT LISTS FOR OUTDOOR DISCOVERERS:
Session 1:  June 24, 2019 – June 28, 2019 – 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Session 2:  July 15, 2019 – July 19, 2019 – 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Session 3:  July 29, 2019 – August 2, 2019 – 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
We’ll set out to discover the forests, gardens, meadows and streams of CVP.  Campers will enjoy daily hikes, games, songs and animal encounters.

Young Naturalists Nature Camp  Ages 8-10  – Cost $150 – CLICK FOR INFO

Session 1:  July 8, 2019 – July 12, 2019 – 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Session 2:  July 22, 2019 – July 26, 2019 – 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Session 3:  August 5, 2019 – August 9, 2019 – 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Does your child loves nature, plants, animals, birds, bugs, bees, butterflies and exploring the great outdoors?  Then, they will love this camp at CVP!

Natural Wonders Art Camp  Ages 11-13  – Cost $150
July 1, 2, 3 & 5, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.   There will be no camp on July 4th.
Explore the connections between art and the natural world as we collect and transform natural materials into works of art!

DISCOUNTS will be available for multiple siblings,   Each child may register only for ONE session during the entire summer.   Cost includes the renewal Family Membership fee for 2019.

Cromwell Valley Park Council and the Baltimore Co. Department of Recreation and Parks reserves the right to cancel a camp session. If a session is cancelled, all fees will be fully refunded.
CANCELLATION POLICY for Camp fees:

28 days +                                               100% of camp fee
27 – 21 days                                            50% of camp fee
20 -14 days                                             25% of camp fee
13 – 0 days                                                0% of camp fee

If your child withdraws from camp, CVPC MEMBERSHIP DUES are considered donations and are non-refundable.

Summer Programs

Besides the School and Scout Programs, the Cromwell Valley Park staff offers summer programs (June 19 – Aug 17) for other groups built around nature. These programs are intended to be fun and educational for groups of children during the summer. Each scheduled program will be an hour duration and may be held at Cromwell Valley Park or at a location of your choosing. Programs are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. You will receive a confirmation by mail as soon as your request has been processed.

GROUP PROGRAM SELECTIONS AT YOUR SITE

Naturalist Choice ~ CVP Park Naturalist will provide a fun and educational program of our choice.
Animal Adaptations ~ We’ll bring animals and share how they are adapted to their environment.
Insect Safari ~ Learn the life cycle of insects, then go outside to see what we can find (site/weather permitting).

Group programs taking place at YOUR SITE are $100 for 1 hour.

GROUP PROGRAM SELECTIONS AT CROMWELL VALLEY PARK

All of our programs begin and end at the WILLOW GROVE FARM NATURE CENTER parking lot. Most programs include a hike that usually ends in the stream, so let us know if you do not want to get wet!

Naturalist Choice ~ CVP Park Naturalist will provide a fun and educational hike program of our choice.
Animal Adaptations ~ Observe a variety of animals to see how they are adapted to their environment.
Insect Safari ~ Search for insects in different habitats and learn about their life cycle and adaptations.
Stream Strollers ~ How does the health of our stream effect the Chesapeake Bay? Wade with us to catch the critters that live there. Water shoes are a must. NO SANDALS!

Group programs taking place at OUR SITE are $75 for 1 hour.
Baltimore County Recreation & Parks facilities and Non-Profits camps may book one program per season at no cost.

In case of inclement weather, the Nature Center and activities follow the Baltimore County Schools. Check at Public Schools for latest info on closing. If closing early, all evening activities at the Park are cancelled.
